April is LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) Awareness Month.

The Center for LGBT Education, Outreach, and Services -- in collaboration with a variety of campus student groups, departments, offices, and community partners -- will host events and learning opportunities focusing on LGBT themes throughout the month.

This year there are many opportunities to learn about and celebrate the unique contributions and experiences of sexual and gender minority people. Upcoming highlights include guest speakers, film screenings, facilitated discussions, author readings, art displays, and much more.

A schedule is available at our website (see below) and will also be published in the April 3 issue of the Ithacan. Additional events are being planned and added as the observance approaches.

The student group prism is also planning additional Gaypril offerings -- check their website for further details.
Contact Lis Maurer, LGBT coordinator, for a complete events listing or with any questions ([mailto:lmaurer@ithaca.edu]).
