The final round of RHA Hall Wars is here!
Earlier in the year, three residence halls proved their might by reducing
energy usage and becoming Hall Wars champions. In late October, Rowland
was deemed the victor out of the first-year residence halls. In November,
West Tower residents teamed together to defeat the East Tower. In early
December, Terrace 5 turned off their lights to win against
Terrace 3 and Terrace 4.
The Hall Wars, however, are not yet over. These residence halls now look to
prove they can save the most energy to become the Ithaca College champion,
and the Residence Hall Association will determine this through the final
battle of its environmentally conscious event, Hall Wars.
Rowland, East Tower, and Terrace 5 -- get ready! Turn off your speakers when
you don't need them, unplug your printer when not in use, and turn
off the light when you leave the bathroom. That's because, from April 13 to April
26, the Residence Hall Association will judge which residence hall has
most lowered the use of electricity and reward the residents of
that building with a pizza party for their commendable efforts.
As an bonus, if a residence hall can cut energy usage by over 20 percent, they
will get a choice for the reward meal: instead of pizza and wings, you
may be rewarded with a breakfast meal, Italian or Chinese food, or any
meal you prefer!
