Therapeutic recreation alumni, students, and faculty enthusiastically represented the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies (RLS) at the recent New York State Therapeutic Recreation Association conference in Saratoga Springs.
Janice Elich Monroe (RLS faculty) and two students, Jennie Pogorzala and Christine Partello, presented "Center for Life Skills: An Interdisciplinary Student Learning Lab for Individuals Who Have Experience Stroke."
Eileen Gallen '03 and her colleagues from Coler-Goldwater Specialty Hospital and Nursing Facility presented "Using the ATRA Dementia Guidelines to Reduce Inappropriate Behaviors: A Two-Year Study."
