If you ever use ICAirnet, the IC wireless network, this is "must-read" information for you!
ITS will soon be upgrading the Ithaca College wireless network. The initial phase of the project includes replacement of all existing wireless access points (the hardware devices that allow your computer to get a wireless signal).
What does this mean to you?
* Wireless connectivity via ICAirnet will be unavailable on August 6 and 7.
* ALL wireless users will need to follow new procedures (instructions will be published soon) for connecting to ICAirnet beginning Friday, August 8.
Future phases of the project include expanded wireless coverage, faster speeds, and support for visitors and handheld devices on the wireless network.
