The Division of Graduate and Professional Studies is pleased to welcome Charleen Heidt to the GPS team as the Program Research and Marketing Manager. Charleen brings over 27 years of Strategic Marketing and Marketing Research experience to the position. She is an expert in Services Marketing having begun her management career in the hospitality industry with ARAMARK.
In this new role, Charleen will guide the marketing and program research initiatives of the GPS graduate programs, professional programs, and study programs, including the online certificate programs, the Summer and Winter Sessions, the Washington Semester Program, and others.
Charleen has conducted a variety of marketing projects for such local, national, regional, and international firms as American Demographics, Corning Inc., Cornell University, Crowley Foods, Hewlett Packard, Hilton International, Iron Mountain, Mohonk Mountain House, Motorola and SAS. She is also a former adjunct Professor of Marketing in our School of Business, having taught “Principles of Marketing, “Marketing Research,” and “Services Marketing.”
Charleen earned her MS degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis on Marketing Research and Services Marketing from The Pennsylvania State University. She received her BS degree in Hotel, Restaurant & Institutional Management/Administrative Dietetics, also from P.S.U.
She is an active member of The American Marketing Association and the Marketing Research Association. The results of her studies have been cited in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Forbes, and The Washington Post.
Charleen is currently working part-time and will become full-time on July 21st. Please join me in welcoming Charleen to the Ithaca College community.
