After a summer of packing, planning, and waiting, the Department of Writing has moved into its new space on the fourth floor of Smiddy Hall.
Not only have the main office and faculty offices moved to the fourth floor (formerly occupied by the business school) but the Writing Center has been relocated as well, to Smiddy 107. The department's new space on the fourth floor, along with the Writing Center and a new networked classroom on the first floor, were redesigned by Holt Architects and completely renovated.
Please remember the department's new location when referring students to the Writing Center or sending intracampus mail to faculty in that department. Writing faculty members are just beginning to move into their offices, and there are still some construction projects to complete, so the department will plan an open house later in the fall.
Please address any questions about faculty office locations to Lynn Hyde at 274-3138 ([mailto:lhyde@ithaca.edu]).
Also, the Department of Philosophy and Religion has moved its offices to the second floor of Park Hall.
