The Department of Occupational Therapy is pleased to announce its partnership with the Ithaca Free Clinic. Faculty and students will provide free occupational therapy services to medically uninsured residents of Tompkins County, on site at the Ithaca Free Clinic in downtown Ithaca.
This pilot program will be launched on September 9, with clinic hours on Tuesdays from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. throughout the fall semester.
Occupational therapy helps people to live life to its fullest by focusing on the skills needed for daily living. This includes all aspects of self-care, work, and leisure. Occupational therapy services help people to function at the highest possible level, concentrating on what is important to them to rebuild their health, independence, and self-esteem.
If you have questions, or know someone who could benefit from occupational therapy, please contact Julie Dorsey, assistant professor in the occupational therapy department, at [mailto:jdorsey@ithaca.edu] or 274-1078.
