Students: don't miss a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join a group of students who are going to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Poland this December! The conference will be the 14th meeting of United Nations delegates who are seeking to create consensus regarding the implementation of an international agreement to replace the Kyoto Protocol.

Students who are interested must sign up for and attend the fall semester, 2-credit course during Block II, entitled International Environmental Policy (ENVS 333), which will meet on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The course is aimed at providing students with an understanding of global climate change issues and the role of universities, NGOs, governments, and the business sector in addressing those problems. This course is funded in part by the School of Business and the environmental studies program.

The course and trip are open to sophomores through seniors from all majors, but applications are due by September 15 -- which is just around the corner, so don't delay! Space is available for 20 students.

Please find the application here, which includes more details regarding the course as well as the application process:

Environmental Studies Program

The estimated total cost of the course is $2,900 per student. This will cover air fare, hotel, room and board and related conference costs. The environmental studies program is sponsoring each student by reducing this cost to $1,900 per student.
