If you are looking for a way to give back to your community and make a difference in the life someone younger, join The Student to Student Mentoring Program. It is a unique approach on your everyday normal mentoring program!
Hello Ithaca College Community Members,
My name is Lily Bailey and I am a senior sociology major with a minor in African Diaspora. I am writing to you all today about the Student to Student Mentoring Program that we piloted through the Ithaca College Community Church last year. We are up and running again this year and we have a lot of exciting events in store for this semester. As a new student organization on campus, one of our main goals is to attract the attention of IC community members who are interested in giving back to the greater Ithaca city community.
What this program needs from the IC community members is the support that we had last year. Anyone who was involved in the program last year, we definitely need your support again. For anyone who was not able to be involved in the program before, we strongly urge you to apply so that we have a strong foundation which will keep the program running.
We will be having our Open House this Thursday, September 11, 2008 from 7pm until 9pm in the Taughannock Falls Meeting room which is located on the third floor of campus center. If you are interested in our program we urge you to come to this meeting to find out what we’re all about and our ideologies on community service and being a proactive mentor.
Please contact us if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
