Search for Director of Student Learning Assessment Reaches Finalist Stage

As chair of the search committee, I am happy to announce that we will be welcoming our two finalists for the position of director of student learning assessment to campus in the coming weeks.

The first finalist will be on campus this coming Monday, September 15; the second will visit Tuesday, September 23. I would be happy to extend an invitation to anyone interested to each candidate's formal presentation.

A newly-created position in the Division of Academic Affairs, the director will work with deans, department chairs, and faculty to develop and implement student learning outcome assessment activities. An early responsibility for the director will be the framing of a coherent assessment plan for the College out of these various activities. The creation of this position signals the College's commitment to the assessment of student learning outcomes as a means of continuing our tradition of providing excellent, transformative learning experiences for all students.
