Jeff Houck, assistant professor in the Department of Physical Therapy, Rochester Center, was elected to the Scientific Review Panel of the Foundation for Physical Therapy.
As quoted from the website of the American Physical Therapy Association: "The Foundation's mission is twofold: 1) to fund research that supports the development of evidence-based physical therapist practice; enhances the quality of physical therapist services for patients and clients; and increases the number of physical therapy researchers; and 2) to secure a donor base to support the foundation's efforts."
Houck will review applications for support of young scholars and grant applications for a three-year term. The qualifications for panel membership require previous experience on review panels and grant awards from the National Institutes of Health.
