Ithaca College Installs ReadyCam System; Provides Media Access to IC Faculty Experts

VideoLink announces that Ithaca College has installed a ReadyCam insert studio to provide national television outlets with live access to faculty experts directly from Ithaca's campus in Ithaca, New York.

This equipment is a gift from Doug Weisman '78, founder and co-owner of Videolink. Several Videolink staff members spent nearly a week on campus installing the studio, which is located in the Roy H. Park School of Communications.

Among the many faculty experts available are:

• Michael McCall, professor of marketing, whose topics of expertise include: marketing, consumer psychology, spending habits, credit card debt


• Kim Gregson, associate professor of television and radio: communications/new media, social media, video games, election campaigns


• Cynthia Scheibe, associate professor of psychology: developmental psychology, media literacy, decoding media messages


• Jeff Cohen, associate professor of journalism and director of the Park Center for Independent Media: media censorship/bias, blogs, the Internet


• Stephen Sweet, assistant professor of sociology: intersections between work, family and community, family conflict, economic inequalities, job insecurity
