The students of the Styles of Acting class would like to invite you over to the house. The House of Atreus, that is.
On Thursday, October 2, at 1:30 p.m. and again on Monday, October 6, at 12:15 p.m. (both in the Clark Theatre of Dillingham Center), acting and musical theater majors will perform individual speeches by famous characters from Greek tragedy. You will hear from Andromache, Cassandra, Clytemnestra, Creon, Electra, Helen, Heracles, Hermione, Iphigenia, Jason, Medea, Menelaus, Odysseus, Orestes, Prometheus, and Theseus.
They will also perform, as a group, one of the choruses from Sophocles's Antigone.
Each of these two free presentations should last for about 45 minutes.
We hope you can join us for some or all of the speeches. Feel free to arrive late or leave early.
