From the previous week of tabling, fund raising on the part of one of our performers, and donations at the concert Water for Sudan made a total of $520!

Water for Sudan is an initiative of STAND (Ithaca College's anti-genocide coalition) whose goal is to raise $5,000 to sponsor the construction of one well in southern Sudan. The wells are drilled by a national non-profit organization also called Water for Sudan, which was founded by Mr. Salva Dut, one of the Walking Boys of Sudan. Water for Sudan has drilled 29 wells to date providing fresh, clean water to 80,000 people in southern Sudan.

The winner of our concert raffle was Beth Easton!
Thanks to all who came to the concert last weekend, to our performers, to SGA for funding our equipment, to Ithaca Coffee Roasters who donated our raffle prize, and especially to everyone who helped make this concert a success! Keep your eyes open for future Water for Sudan fundraising campaigns.

Water for Sudan is now supported by SGA.
