The national Active Minds organization recognized IC's chapter as a five-star chapter for its commitment to leadership, outreach, events, communication, and administration. This is the highest possible rating!
Active Minds is the nation's only nonprofit organization dedicated to raising mental health awareness among college students, on the peer level. It began in 2001 when founder Alison Malmon's brother died from suicide. She then dedicated herself to ending the stigma surrounding accessing mental health care and providing more information about the topic. The chapter at IC, committed to the same mission, works hard to provide more information to the College community.
