What: One credit interactive course (pass/fail)
CRN 23145 – SOCI 19902-01

When: Fall 2008 Block 2
Tuesday/Thursday 4:00 – 5:15 p.m. starting October 21st

Where: Friends 306

Why: This course provides students with an interactive class environment and a variety of presenters designed to help
them learn about health issues that impact members of the college community – social and emotional health, alcohol
& drug use, sexual health, stress, and nutrition.

This course will address:
• The range of health issues that are of particular concern to college students, and the degree to which these issues impact Ithaca College students
• Physical & emotional health issues including: healthy relationships, sexual health, nutrition, fitness, depression, alcohol and drug abuse, and stress management
• Health resources available to Ithaca College students
• Self-awareness in understanding issues of physical and emotional health

Guest presenters include: LeBron Rankins, Suki Montgomery, Alice Meilman, Paul Mikowski, Pam Johnson and Deb Harper from the Counseling Center.
