Meet Jill Agostino '86, Night News Editor, New York Times

Jill Agostino '86, night news editor for the NYTimes.com website, will be available to talk with students, faculty, and staff in an open Q&A session on Wednesday, October 8, at 4:00 p.m. in Park 220. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend.

Jill Agostino is the night news editor at the New York Times, a position she has held for two years. Agostino has worked at the Times for more than 12 years, starting as a copy editor in the sports department before moving to assistant sports editor. She also worked as the assistant travel editor and the deputy editor of special sections before moving to the web.

Agostino began her career in central New York, earning a television-radio degree from Ithaca College in 1986 and working for a weekly paper in the Catskills before attending Syracuse University for a master's degree in magazine journalism.

She then worked as a sports copy editor for the Syracuse Post Standard, Newsday, and the New York Daily News before she was hired at the Times.
