Broadway Performer Matt Cavenaugh '01 to Give Lecture-Demo October 10 in the School of Music

Matt Cavenaugh '01 will participate in a Q&A session about his life as a Broadway performer as well as sing musical numbers from his recent productions. The visit is scheduled for Friday, October 10, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., and will be held at Presser Hall in the School of Music. The event is free and open to members of the Ithaca College community.

Cavenaugh is a 2001 graduate of the Department of Theatre Arts' musical theater program. Matt was most recently seen on Broadway in A Catered Affair. He made his Playwrights Horizons debut with Grey Gardens, and moved with the production to Broadway.

He was seen as Bud in the Broadway production of Urban Cowboy. He also performed in the national tour of Thoroughly Modern Millie and has performed in regional theater: 2 Lives (George Street Playhouse), Palm Beach (La Jolla Playhouse), Carousel (Pittsburgh CLO), Princesses (Goodspeed), and Anything Goes (TUTS).
