This new ITS workshop is an introduction to the world of delivering audio and video via the Internet. Considerations include tools, technical requirements, pedagogy, and a hands-on demonstration.
Podcasting is a simple method of delivering video and audio to a mass audience. iTunes U aggregates and displays podcasts and enables the transfer of podcasts to mobile devices, like the iPod.
This workshop answers the question: "What is a podcast?." Moreover, we will explore how podcasts can be used in and out of the classroom and how podcasts can be used to communicate to a broad audience.
Bring your headphones or ear buds and participate in a live demonstration as we create an audio podcast with workshop participants, edit it, and upload our final production to iTunes U.
