Don't miss these exciting events, including a "parade to the polls" on election day, led by President Tom Rochon and the Fifes and Drums of Ithaca; voter vans to help you get to the Circles to vote; and an election results viewing party!

Clark Lounge
Perialis Prize Winner Reception

Hear the winning speeches on behalf of their candidate for president by Joe Gage (for Barack Obama) and Shanan Glandz (for John McCain).

Friday, October 31
4:30 p.m.
Klingenstein Lounge

Steven Seidman, associate professor and chair of the Department of Strategic Communication, will give a lecture entitled, "Posters, Propaganda, and Persuasion in Election Campaigns."

Tuesday, November 4
Election Day


Parade to the Polls
12:15 p.m.
Free Speech Rock

The Fifes and Drums of Ithaca and President Tom Rochon will lead voters from Free Speech Rock through the academic quad to get voters excited about going to the polls. The parade will continue all the way to the College Circles Community Room, which is the local polling place for those who registered to vote using their campus address.

Voter Vans
9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Vans take students to and from the local polling station in the Circles Community Room. Van pick-up locations will be at the Textor flagpole and the Smiddy Hall parking lot entrance.

Election Results Viewing Party

Join your fellow students to watch the election results roll in. CNN, ICTV, and WICB will be our news sources for national and local election results.
