The third lecture/discussion in this series is titled "Cross-Racial Coalitions, Conflict, and Keepin' On," and will be given by Belisa González from the sociology department on Tuesday, November 11, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Klingenstein Lounge.
Professor González will critique the perception that black and brown communities "should" be able to come together based on their demographic similarities and that conflict or chaos is necessarily a sign of a lack of or break down in community.
The final section, "Keepin' On," will challenge the way people often think about the role of vision and our relation to it in the pursuit of social justice.
Refreshments will be served.
