IC Bureau of Concerts Now Accepting Applications for Executive Board

Four positions will open on the Bureau of Concerts executive board for the spring 2009 semester.

Assistant director: Executive chair's right-hand person. The assistant director double-checks and makes sure nothing is forgotten when planning the show. Most of the work involves preproduction, following a checklist for each show. Plans meetings with administration and Public Safety. Responsible for turning location into concert venue.

Runner: Responsible for errands that need to be run day of show. May also be responsible for transportation of artist or artist services day of show.

Advertising/public relations: Responsible for alerting the public and the press of the upcoming concert. Develops creative ways to spread the word.

Artist services: Responsible for artist needs, including food and comfort. Works with Conference and Events Services to organize meals for both artist and crew.

Applications may be picked up in the Student Activities Center, and should be returned to the SAC no later than Wednesday, December 3. Applicants will then be contacted to set up an interview for the following week. Please contact boc@ithaca.edu with any questions.
