Amnesty International Presents: Human Rights Day!

Be the change you wish to see in the world. Join Amnesty International in Emerson Suites for a day dedicated to human rights!

On Monday, December 8, Ithaca College's chapter of Amnesty International and other clubs will be holding an amazing event dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the U.N. Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

The event will be in Emerson Suites from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with art installations, performances, music and different activities YOU can do to learn more about human rights and how to make a positive change in the world. Stop by any time you would like during the day!

Noon-1:00 p.m.: politics professor Patricia Rodriguez and her students will talk about the School of the Americas and their experiences at the most recent protest against it.

1:00-2:00 p.m.: "Gaza's Death Throes: Denial of the Right to Food, Water, Shelter, Security, and Dignity." A presentation by Professor Beth Harris and Andrea Levine.

5:00-7:00 p.m: Open mic event. Come share the issues that matter to you!

7:00-9:00 p.m.: Film screening: "Justice With Borders." An amazing film about human rights and people wrongfully imprisoned.
