The Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival (FLEFF) received a competitive grant from the Experimental Television Center (ETC) for capacity building.

The ETC grant award focuses on providing consultants to further the professionalization of the FLEFF internship program, festival operations, staff development, international programming across all media platforms, and audience development and outreach.

Gretjen Clausing, program director at Scribe Video Center in Philadelphia and a nationally recognized independent media programmer; and Shannon Kelley, Gestor Artistico, Morelia International Film Festival (Morelia, Mexico) and former associate director of the Sundance Documentary Institute, will serve as the 2009 FLEFF consultants through this grant. Clausing and Kelley are both Ithaca College alumni.

FLEFF is sponsored by the Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies at Ithaca College. Thomas Shevory and Patricia Zimmermann serve as codirectors of the festival.

The Experimental Television Center is also funded through the New York State Council on the Arts, a public agency.
