The Out of the Closet and Onto the Screen film series will offer a screening of Anyone and Everyone. The screening, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Thursday, January 29, at 7:00 p.m. in Textor 102.

Connected by having a son or daughter who is gay, parents of diverse backgrounds and experiences -- Japanese, Bolivian, Cherokee, Mormon, Jewish, Catholic, Hindu, Southern Baptist -- share intimate accounts of how their children revealed their sexual orientation and discuss their responses.

The parents also talk about struggling with the pain of their sons and daughters dealing with not being accepted by relatives or friends, and being ostracized by religious congregations.

Sponsored by the Ithaca College Center for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Education, Outreach, and Services, the film series this year will explore sexual orientation and identity through the lens of faith. For a complete schedule, visit the "Events" section of the LGBT Center website (www.ithaca.edu/lgbt) or contact the LGBT Center for a film series postcard.
