The new French-language residential learning community is now forming.
Beginning in the fall 2009 semester, students interested in French language and culture will now have a physical as well as intellectual home on campus, Quartier français.
Planned as a partial-immersion residential community modeled on the Vecinos Spanish language and culture community, Quartier français will offer a full slate of cultural programming to include a conversation group, a film series, a reading group, cooking nights, and field trips to relevant cultural events in the larger Ithaca community.
The community is open to Francophones and Francophiles at any level, regardless of major or minor.
