Used at over 450 colleges and universities across the United States, Live Text is a learning and assessment system with user-friendly, web-based tools for developing, assessing, and measuring student learning.

Recently adopted for use in all teacher-education programs on campus, Live Text will provide our students with a powerful and easy-to-use portfolio template, as well as a way to instantly submit work and review instructor feedback.

Live Text will allow faculty users to organize and deliver course content more effectively, communicate with students more efficiently, manage grades, and align program and course standards with learning outcomes when assessing student work.

Implementation of the Live Text system here at Ithaca College is already underway with a pilot project of faculty and student participants. Faculty training for Live Text will take place during the week following graduation in May.

Additional information on Live Text implementation will be forthcoming in Intercom over the next several months. The education department and the All-College Teacher Education Committee are coordinating this effort.
