NYS Storytellers Gather at IC

Ithaca College will host the 2009 gathering of the New York Storytellers on February 28, 2009. The event was organized by Professor Lee-Ellen Marvin of the Department of Speech Communication.

Storytellers from across the state will attend a daylong conference on campus with workshops by

• Rafe Martin, award-winning author/storyteller and the current storyteller in residence at the International Storytelling Center
• Regi Carpenter, winner of the 2008 Reneaux Emerging Artist award, the Parent’s Choice Gold Award, and the Parent’s Guide for Children’s Media Award

Evening activities will feature a presentation by the Storytellers' Studio, entitled "Tales to Warm a Winter Night."
