Apply for a Residential Learning Community!

The Office of Residential Life will be taking applications for 2009-2010 housing in all of its Residential Learning Communities (RLCs) until midnight on Wednesday, February 25th.

To apply for an RLC, simply log-in to HomerConnect and fill out the brief applications for any communities that interest you (more detailed instructions below).

Approvals will be made on February 26th and approved students will select their housing on February 27th beginning at 9am.

The RLCs offered next year are:

HOME (Housing Offering a Multicultural Experience)-Located in Terrace 3, this community focuses on global and domestic issues of multiculturalism.

Sustainably Concious Learning Community-Located in Terrace 2, this community focuses on living sustainably and how to educate others about sustainability.

Honors Learning Community-This community will be located on the ground and first floors of Lyon Hall and is open to all College Honors students.

Outdoor Adventure Learning Community-Located on the second floor of Terrace 8, this community focuses on engaging with and learning about nature.

Language learning communities-Located in Terrace 11, first and second floors, these communities offer a partial immersion experience to learn about the language and cultures of specific areas of the globe. The language communities are:

* Vecinos-Spanish Language and Culture floor
* Stockwerk Deutsch-German Language and Culture floor
* Quartier Francais-French Language and Culture floor

*How to Apply for Residential Learning Communities (RLCs)*

* Log-in to HomerConnect (https://homerconnect.ithaca.edu/)
* Click Student, Financial Aid, and Residential Life
* Click Residential Life
* Click Apply for Specialty Housing or Learning Communities
* Click apply next to the community in which you are interested.
* Fill out the application and click submit. Fill out applications
for as many communities as you would like.
* If you have not completed a housing profile on HomerConnect, you
may be given a "No database available" error.
