The Catholic Community is providing a number of special prayer, educational, service, and worship opportunities during Lent.
On Ash Wednesday, February 25, Mass will be celebrated at 8:00 a.m., noon, and 5:30 p.m. with the distribution of ashes, and a special scripture service with the distribution of ashes will be offered at Longview at 10:30 a.m.
Weekday Mass will be celebrated on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at 12:10 p.m. in the sanctuary, and on Thursday at 7:15 p.m. in the Fireside Lounge. On Sundays, the community is invited to gather for Mass at 1:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
Individual reconciliation (confession) is available every Sunday at 8:00 p.m., and a communal reconciliation service with private confession is scheduled for Thursday, April 2, at 8:00 p.m.
Catholicism 101 and Intro to the Bible discussion sessions will be held on Tuesdays at 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. in the Phillips Room of Muller Chapel. Rosary is recited on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:15 p.m.
Members of the community are invited to serve meals or to join guests for noontime meal on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, or 6:00 p.m. dinner on Tuesday and Thursday, at Loaves and Fishes on Cayuga Street, and are encouraged to assist in the donation and collection of personal care items and items for underprivileged new mothers at Catholic Charities.
And everyone is invited to a Lenten "simple soup supper" on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. in the Fireside Lounge.
