Take a Summer Class with Anthropologists!

The anthropology department is offering a number of summer courses at home and abroad -- check it out!

The Anthropology Department is offering four classes this summer spanning the globe and experiential and service learning!

During the 2 week May session, Service Learning in Native America (ANTH 19000-48) will bring students to the newly established Cayuga Nation territory just north of Ithaca to work on a variety of projects at the Cayuga SHARE Farm.

In Summer Session I, North American Indians (ANTH 27000-11), a gateway course for the Native American Studies minor, will introduce students to the diversity of cultures and issues in Native America, from conquest to today.

Summer Session II will feature Cultural Anthropology, a foundational course on diversity and global cultures that fulfills a number of general education and other program requirements.

Experiencing India: The Field School will take place in primarily in Mumbai, India with one outside trip to the hills of Maharashtra, and will allow students from a variety of disciplines to experience first-hand Indian culture in context (June 22 - July 10; contact Denise Nuttall for information).
