Colorectal Cancer.........Don’t Die of Embarrassment!!!!

Or

Fear!!!!!

It is time for us to revisit our quest to prevent CRC disease at Ithaca College. Our quest started in 2006. The national data still shows that CRC is the 3rd leading cause of death in the United States. In New York, although white males are more likely to be diagnosed with CRC, Black males are more likely to die from it. Males in general are more prone to having the disease as well as dying from it than females. However, for both males and females, this is the 3rd leading cause of cancer deaths.

Therefore, all of us who are above 50 years of age and those who have family history of cancer should consider screening for colorectal cancer even if they are 50. Please go to: http://www.cancer.org/docroot/home/index.asp for more information.

MARCH IS NATIONAL COLORECTAL CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
