Change of Location and Time for Weight Watchers at Work Meetings

Due to ongoing construction in the Peggy Ryan Williams Center (formerly known as the gateway building) and the relocation of departments into the new building, it has become apparent that the space will not be available in time to accommodate the Weight Watchers at Work (WW@W) meetings that are scheduled to begin in a couple weeks.

Therefore, the meetings are being moved to 203 Center for Health Sciences, a spacious classroom on the second floor past the CHS coffee cart and around the corner to the right (beneath the Wellness Clinic).

The time has been adjusted slightly to 12:15-1:00 p.m.

The 17-week series is scheduled to begin with a free information/registration meeting 12:15-1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14. There will be no weigh-in at this meeting. All IC community members interested in joining Weight Watchers At Work are welcome to stop by to meet the leader, find out more about Weight Watcher's new Momentum program, and to register for the series.

WE NEED AT LEAST 20 MEMBERS TO REGISTER AND PREPAY BEFORE THE FIRST 17-WEEK SESSION CAN OFFICIALLY BEGIN THE FOLLOWING TUESDAY, APRIL 21.

The cost of the 17-week series is $186, and there are several convenient payment options available. Please visit https://www.ithaca.edu/hr/worklife/weightwatchers.php for all the details.

Chris Haase, the campus coordinator, is accepting advance paid registrations that she will hold until the 17-week series is officially scheduled and that will count toward the registration quota. Paid registrations will also be accepted at the April 14 meeting in CHS. Please contact her at 274-1378 or haase@ithaca.edu to be added to her confidential, no-obligation distribution list for updates and information you won't find on Intercom.

In the meantime, please block off the noon hour on Tuesdays now in your calendars if you are considering joining WW@W. Take the time in the next few weeks to clean out your refrigerators and to start thinking about when it would work best in your busy schedule to set aside some weekly time for yourself.

Because, remember: It's about you!
