Two major faculty development events in May as well as April activities are featured at the Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE) website. And most events are now available on iTunesU!

Due to a partnership between ITS and CFE, the virtual aspects of the Center for Faculty Excellence are expanding. Audio recordings of recent events may be accessed by faculty members through iTunesU. These include panels on interdisciplinary teaching and successful tenure as well as Faculty Commons discussions on finding balance among teaching, scholarship, and service, and next week's on building scholarship from teaching activities.

May 13 is the annual Spring Faculty Development conference, which features presentations of scholarship representing each of our five types of scholarship. May 19 and 20 is the May Faculty Institute, "Theirs, Mine and Ours: Meeting Collective Objectives through Comprehensive Assessment"

More information and links on all of these are at our website.

Center for Faculty Excellence

Watch for announcements very soon about a Faculty Commons on grants, fellowship, and the renewable career, plus workshops on preparing a book proposal and on choosing and using qualitative software.
