The First-Year Residence Hall Program, which houses 300 first-year students in Boothroyd, Rowland, and Tallcott Halls, is seeking interested faculty members for a unique living-learning program.

Are you interested in interacting with first-year students outside of the classroom? Are you interested in fostering a culture of interaction between students and faculty within the first-year residence halls? Please consider serving as a faculty fellow for the First-Year Residence Hall Program!

The First-Year Residence Hall Program houses approximately 300 first-year students in Boothroyd, Rowland, and Tallcott Halls in the upper Quads area of campus. The program is designed to provide first-year students with a strong residential experience that fosters community, promotes interactions with faculty and staff, and provides engaging activities and programs that assist students in their transition to college. Becoming a faculty fellow is an opportunity to interact with students in their living environment and to promote learning and academic success.

The responsibilities of a faculty fellow:

Faculty fellows must be full-time faculty members and are eligible to receive $1,100 per year for professional travel or to purchase class resources/instructional materials.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact Ron Trunzo (274-3141, rtrunzo@ithaca.edu), associate director of residential life and judicial affairs; or Ericka Smith (274-1096, smith@ithaca.edu), residence director for Boothroyd, Rowland, and Tallcott Halls. Thank you for your consideration.
