A seminar and consultations are available for faculty who are considering or engaging in qualitative research and interested in software that can be part of the process.
The Center for Faculty Excellence and the Department of Sociology present Raymond Maietta, Ph.D., of ResearchTalk, on Wednesday, April 15, in room 413 of the Center for Health Sciences.
Participants may attend one of two seminar times (10:30 a.m. or 2:00 p.m.) and may schedule individual consultations. More information to download and online registration is at:
Who should attend?
a. Anyone who has considered using qualitative methods for a project, but has never done qualitative research
b. Experienced qualitative researchers/interviewers, but who have never used software programs
c. Experienced qualitative researchers who have used software but who want to try a new program
d. Those teaching research methods who wish to give students options and demonstrable, marketable skills via exposure to qualitative software
e. Those mentoring or supervising gradudate/undergrad students using qualitative methods
f. Those preparing to do assessments, evaluations, and the like
g. Anyone looking to expand his or her skill set, enhance his or her craft, or consider new ways to think about organizing and analyzing human stories and narratives
