Second-semester juniors:

If you want to study or do research abroad after graduation, consider applying for a Fulbright award.

This is to call your attention to the Fulbright program supporting graduate study abroad. Awards range from study or research projects in countries across the globe, to teaching English and American literature to high school students in any of a wide range of countries.

The deadline for applications for 2010-2011 awards is September 15, 2009. Information on the various awards and application materials can be found at www.fulbrightonline.org (Click on U.S. Student Programs, then click on Thinking of Applying, and read all the topics.)

If you are interested in participating in a program of study abroad the year after graduation, you should see Marty Sternstein (401 Williams) as soon as possible, but absolutely before leaving campus this semester. He’ll be happy to answer questions, explain more about the program, talk about how to write a competitive application, explain what you should do over the summer with regard to the application, etc.
