Both the men's and women's tennis teams will be competing in the NCAA championship tournament this weekend. The women's team is in the NCAA playoffs for the third year in a row, while the men's team is making its second appearance in three seasons.
The women's team (14-7) is seeded fourth in the NCAA South Atlantic regional, being hosted by Carnegie Mellon. The Bombers face fifth-seeded Wilkes Friday at 2:00 p.m. in a regional quarterfinal. The winner advances to face the host Tartans in Saturday's regional semifinal round.
The men's team (17-4), which has won a school-record 17 matches, is the fourth seed in the NCAA New England regional being played at Middlebury. Ithaca takes on fifth-seeded Baruch at 3:00 p.m. Friday in the regional quarterfinals, with the winner advancing to meet the host Panthers Saturday in a regional semifinal.
Both Bomber teams won Empire 8 titles this year.
