Exercise and Sport Sciences Professor Paul Geisler Presents at Cornell University

Paul R. Geisler, ATC, of the Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences, presented a talk on athletic pubalgia at a Cornell University sports medicine conference on the hip and pelvis.

Geisler, assistant professor and director of athletic training education, was invited to present at "A Sports Medicine Update: Pathologies and Treatment of the Hip and Athletic Pubalgia," a continuing education conference conducted by the Departments of Athletic Training and Physical Therapy at Cornell University. 

Attended by over 60 physicians, athletic trainers, and physical therapists from around the Northeast, this unique conference featured presentations from renowned physicians specializing in the hip and pelvis in competitive athletes, including Dr. William Meyers of Drexel University's College of Medicine in Philadelphia ("Athletic Pubalgia: Signs, Symptoms, and Surgical Intervention"); Dr. Robert Buly of the Hospital for Special Surgery and the Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York ("Evaluation and Surgical Intervention of Hip Pathology"), and Dr. Matthew Scuderi of Upstate Medical University in Syracuse ("Hip Pain in the Young Adult: Clinical and Radiographic Work-Up").

Following his recent clinical intervention and research work with the Cornell University mens' hockey team, Professor Geisler presented "Prevention of Athletic Pubalgia."
