OTL Update: OTL Begins August 17 -- No More Paper TRFs!

The new Oracle Time and Labor (OTL) system is ready to go live beginning with the pay period that starts on Monday, August 17, 2009. Staff members will no longer submit paper Time Report Forms (TRFs) after that date. All time will be reported through the new on-line OTL system.
In preparation for the transition from paper time reporting to online time reporting via Parnassus, staff and student employees will need to be able to do the following:
- For employees who use a clock to report your time, you will need your Ithaca College ID card to use the new time clocks located near your current time clocks. The information from the clocks will feed into the new OTL system.
- Know how to navigate to Parnassus via ACE (Administrative Computing Environment). You can do this by going directly to https://vail.ithaca.edu/ace or by going to the Human Resources website, www.ithaca.edu/hr and clicking on the ACE link on the right of the page.
- Know your username and password and successfully log into Parnassus. If you have any questions about your username and/or password, please contact hrsystem@ithaca.edu or call 4-3245 for assistance.
- Be aware that all non-exempt staff and student employees will submit their time online to the Payroll Office weekly instead of biweekly. Employees will still be paid biweekly, on the same schedule as now. The change to weekly time reporting is based on system restrictions, and also to better facilitate accurate reporting of time worked.
The Office of Human Resources will be hosting “hands-on training/information sessions” in the Peggy R. Williams Center on the Garden Level in the HR PC Training Room beginning August 3, 2009 - August 21, 2009. Attendance at these sessions is not mandatory as the new online time reporting system is intuitive, easy-to-use, and is very similar to the current paper TRF. During the session, you will be able to view screenshots – as seen from both the employee and supervisor perspective - and enter time into a test environment for practice.
