Leigh Ann Vaughn Becomes a Member of the Society of Experimental Social Psychology

Leigh Ann Vaughn has become a member of the Society of Experimental Social Psychology, a scientific organization dedicated to the advancement of social psychology.

SESP has more than 800 members throughout the world, and membership is open to any self-identified social psychologist who is at least 5 years post-PhD and shows "evidence of substantial contribution to social psychology as an empirical science; significant publication in recognized journals or books" (quoted from the SESP bylaws). Prospective members are nominated by current members, who may nominate no more than one person per year; membership cannot grow by more than 5% per year. SESP holds an annual meeting in October and publishes two journals, Journal of Experimental Social Psychology and Social Psychological and Personality Science.
