Nancy Reynolds, MSPH, joins the campus on August 24 as the new program director for health promotion and substance abuse prevention at Ithaca College. Nancy was selected after a national search to fill the position formerly held by Priscilla Quirk.

Nancy brings more than 25 years of experience as a college health professional in both academic and student affairs divisions at three different universities in New York. She also has experience in coordinating patient education and health promotion in a community health center. Nancy has a reputation for successful campus partnerships with faculty and staff and for connecting with students in meaningful and engaging ways.

In her role at Ithaca College, Nancy will evaluate and develop services and programs using evidence-based practices and prevention strategies. She will conduct academic and applied research on the emotional and physical health of college students. She will provide leadership to campus-wide education on critical health issues for college students and to the development of opportunities for peer advocates and interns.

The health promotion office is affiliated with the Counseling Center unit of the Division of Student Affairs and Campus Life. Nancy's office and the health promotion resource room are located on the lower level of the Hammond Health Center (607-274-3136).

Please join me and the staff of the Counseling Center in welcoming Nancy to campus.
