The Center for Faculty Excellence announces the third annual seminar for faculty members planning for tenure and/or promotion to associate professor. The seminar meets for six one-hour meetings; one series on Mondays from noon to 12:50 p.m. and the other on Thursdays from 3:00 to 3:50 p.m.
Led by Susanne Morgan with Barbara Morgenstern and Michael Trotti, the series provides information on policies, procedures, strategies, and best practices. Topics include documenting teaching effectiveness, understanding and documenting varieties of scholarship, strategies for service, and the contents and route of the file.
Participants include those who are preparing their first review, those who are assembling their tenure file, and people at all stages between. The sessions are confidential and the goal is the exchange of resources, guidelines, and strategies. The two groups will each follow the same syllabus.
