Mac computer users who are running Mac OS X 10.6, the latest Mac operating system known as "Snow Leopard", should be aware of a bug that will prevent normal connection to Novell file servers.
Computers running Snow Leopard will not be able to connect to the Memphis, Pulsar or Nova servers using the normal Go --> Connect to Server method. Instead, users will have to access these servers using an FTP program such as Fetch until a bug fix is released later this fall.
This information mainly applies to personally-owned Mac computers. The new Mac OS is currently under review, but ITS is not yet providing or supporting Snow Leopard on college-owned computers.
