SAB MADDEN 2010 TOURNAMENT
The event will host, free for all participants, 24 players, first come first served. Every player is to choose a team and a back up in the beginning of the event. In the event there are two people playing each other as the same team, then a coin is flipped for who uses their backup. There will be 2 brackets; the winner of each bracket plays in the championship round. Prize for the final winner will be a $25 gift card to Best Buy. Games are set to last approximately 15 minutes and quarters are set at 3 minutes each. Detailed rules will be handed out at the event to all players and spectators. Brackets will be set in every other person fashion by the order in which people sign up at the event. All of the games are to be played on XBOX 360 with standard Madden Rosters. The event takes place in Clarke Lounge on Wednesday October 7th from 7:00pm until 10:00pm. Student Activities Board will be providing the standard football beverages (Gatorade and water) for all players.
Rounds will run the following way:
Round 1- 60 Minutes
24 Players
2 Brackets (12 on each bracket)
Three screens, each will host 4 games.
Round 2- 30 Minutes.
12 players
2 brackets (6 on each bracket)
Three screens, each will host 2 games.
Round 3- 15 Minutes
6 players, only 4 play in 2 games.
2 brackets. Player who has won by largest margin in previous round is awarded a bye for each bracket.
Two screens. One game each.
Semi-Final Round- 15 Minutes
4 players
2 bracket-
Two screens. One game each.
Final Round- 15 Minutes
2 Players. One Screen.
Approximate total running time with gaps for in between rounds: 2 hours and 45 Minutes.
