A fall tradition, the annual Ithaca College School of Music Choral Collage will take place at 3:00 on Sunday, October 11 in Ford Hall. Lawrence Doebler, Janet Galván, and Lauri Robinson-Keegan will conduct the free concert featuring the Choir, Madrigal Singers, Chorus, Women’s Chorale, and Vocal Jazz Ensemble.
The Vocal Jazz Ensemble will sing “Your Cheatin’ Heart,” “Smile,” and “I’ve Got the World on a String.” The chorus will sing a Hebrew setting of Psalm 23 by Geraldo Cohen, an Appalachian song “Cluck Ol’ Hen,” and two dance-songs from Israel. The Women’s Chorale’s portion of the program will feature “Ho-ja-ja ho-ja-ja,” and “The Lake Isle of Innisfree.” Renaissance madrigals will be offered by the Madrigal Singers, and the choir will perform “Follow the drinking gourd,” and the “Dirge for Two Veterans” from “Dona Nobis Pacem” by Ralph Vaughan Williams.
