As a part of Campus Dining Resident Dining Promotion Series, Ithaca Dining Services will be holding a very special Helping Hands Across America Can Drive on November 12th.
This promotional event differs slightly from the former Cans Across America Event. In addition to striving to break the Guinness World Record for the most amounts of canned goods and non-perishable items collected in one day, this year we will be collecting monetary donations and asking students to sign a meal away during the month of October. All the proceeds will be used to purchase additional non-perishable items. All the donations will benefit the Danby and Freeville Food Pantry.
We will also be taking monetary donations of $1.00, $5.00, or $10.00 at the cash registers of all retail locations only from now – October 31st. These donations can be made in cash, ID Express, or by using Bonus Bucks. We will use these donations to make non-perishable food purchases from F & T Distributing on November 12th and will be added to our Helping Hands Across America Food Drive.
As a reminder, collection bins will be located in all dining locations, all day, on Thursday, November 12th so students, faculty, and staff can bring in food items to be donated. Help us set a Guinness® World Record for most non-perishable food items collected in a 24 hour period! All donations will be given to the Danby and Freeville Food Pantry. Please help us in our effort to stop hunger!
