I am pleased to announce that Jennifer Wofford has joined the Division of Graduate and Professional Studies as the Study Programs Manager.  Jen will have responsibility over managing the GPS Study Programs: Summer and Winter Sessions, Pre-College Programs, and Continuing Education, as well as, the coordination with our Washington Program.

Since 2005, as assistant dean at Cornell, Jennifer has worked closely with faculty and administration on undergraduate and graduate degree program development in computing and information science, and K12 educational programming in computing across the curriculum.  She has served as evaluator on an NSF grant focusing on new media and virtual worlds, and has extensive grant writing and grant management experience.

Prior to moving home to upstate NY, Jennifer served as dean of the School of Continuing Studies at Chestnut Hill College (CHC), where she also taught writing and literature since 1999. During her tenure at CHC, she negotiated the development, approval, and implementation of three undergraduate degree programs, launched multiple off-site campuses, and managed articulation partnerships with several two-year colleges.

Jennifer earned her PhD in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. Her dissertation, a discourse analysis of the marketing strategy used by a small liberal arts college, led to the development of a new campaign to reach adult students.

Jennifer is currently working half-time and will begin full-time duties November 2nd.  Please join me in welcoming Jen to the Ithaca College community.
