Doreen Hettich-Atkins, Coordinator of Special Services and Programs for the Division of Student Affairs and Campus Life, assumed her role as president of the College Student Personnel Association of New York State (CSPA-NYS) at their conference held in Syracuse the first week of October.
CSPA-NYS is the first charted state division of ACPA College Student Educators International. CSPA-NYS is a comprehensive professional student affairs organization dedicated to fostering the development of its membership comprised of a diverse community of educators, students and scholars within higher education.
Other Ithaca College staff members also active in this association include Beth O’Neill, Area Coordinator, Residential Life who served as a the 2009 Conference Chair, Russell Martin, Assistant Director, Center for Student Leadership and Involvement, who just completed a two year term on the board, Jennifer Kellington, Assistant Director, Career Services, who serves the board as Marketing Chair and was also the Facilities Chair for the 2009 Conference.
