On Tuesday, November 17, at 4:00p.m. in Center for Natural Sciences Room 112, the Sustainability Café will explore "Environmental Sustainability in Contemporary Art: Impacts, Source Materials and Response”, presented by Cheryl Kramer, director of the Handwerker Gallery at Ithaca College and faculty in the department of Art History.
Dr. Kramer will explore use of sustainability principles and practices in contemporary area, using as an example the work of Chris Jordan, whose renowned photographic series “Running the Numbers” focused attention on consumer waste. Ithaca College was privileged to be a stop on the traveling exhibit of some of Jordan’s work during the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival two years ago.
This Café is being held in conjunction with the Environmental Seminar.
